Good Deeds come from the heart. Whether it's our partnership with Free the Children or talking to kids about waste reduction, or supporting the Franchisees who are a vital part of our business, the Lunch Lady is always looking for ways to give back to the community. Why? The joy of a Good Deed well done is the best feeling. Do good, feel good. It really works.

ALLERGY MANAGEMENT
A Nut Free environment is just the start.
We do our best to make it possible for every child at school to participate in our programs, even those with severe food allergies, food sensitivities and diabetes. We do not want anyone to feel left out. We keep a food profile on children with special food needs and modify meals to fit their requirements. |

Working in partnership with Free the Children we want to turn the lunches provided by the Lunch Lady, into educational opportunities for youth around the world. |

FUNDRAISING
Schools can opt to use the Lunch Lady hot lunch program for fundraising to support school activities or a favourite charity. |

HEALTHY CHOICES
In their 2004 paper entitled “A Call to Action – Creating a Healthy School Nutrition Environment “The Ontario Society of Nutrition Professionals in Public Health wrote, |

“The school system plays a significant role in students’ lives, not only academically, but also by promoting a Healthy School Nutrition Environment” |
We serve our meals to 1000’s of elementary students each school day. We sincerely believe that we are ethically bound to help schools provide healthier options for their students. It's a tough stand to take sometimes, but we really felt responsible for what we were serving and decided to do something about it. As a result we added more whole wheat, more vegetables, unsweetened whole fruit juices, more salads and more choice. We still serve hamburgers, but the beef patties are baked and we serve them on a whole wheat bun.
By creating a fun, yet healthier menu, parents never have to say "NO" to a Lunch Lady menu choice or convince kids to pick the designated “healthy “ choice instead of the other ones. |

We love to make nice lunches for kids. It's all we do. We put our heart and soul into every menu and do our best to make every child feel like our favourite customer. |

SPECIAL WORKPLACES FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE
Our Lunch Lady kitchens provide a friendly and safe work environment for young adult students in York Region who need the opportunity to learn essential job skills. |

WASTE REDUCTION
Recycling, Boomerang lunches, waste reduction - it's essential. We love to talk to classes about ways that each student can make a difference just by recycling their food packaging and taking leftovers home every school day. It's all about enjoying food without waste. |
